Carolynn Sholz
from a young age, Carolynn showed an artists potential by creating her own toys. As a teenager she loved to draw people and animals, as well as design and make her own clothing. Carolynn also created her own wares for the markets and became a well-known artist of the NT. She created pieces using mediums such as polymer clay jewellery and earthenware hand-built pottery. Some would say the polymer clay native flora and fauna we see so much of today actually began in the early 90’s in Carolyn’s art room. Carolynn spent the last 15 years as an accomplished florist in Murray Bridge. She owned and ran her own Business. More recently in retirement Carolynn has fallen in love with wood and fibre. She has embraced needle felt artistry and textile felting. She is inspired by the nature surrounding Rockleigh where she resides. |
