Dianne Altmann
My name is Dianne Altmann I am 74 years young. My passion for art intensified with my career in the building industry over a period of 30 years. Designing new homes and display villages where I developed unique skills in perspective, orientation to the light source and composition. Constantly pushing the boundaries with colours ,textures and modern trends . Throughout my life I have done several Tafe courses in design and concept plans. I have also attended several workshops in Water colour and most of my early works are in that medium. I became completely obsessed with trying new mediums. In the last 3 years I have been experimenting with large acrylic paintings and love the results with a palette knife. I enjoy professional lessons in several mediums plus group painting sessions and meeting with fellow painters regularly in small groups. On this creative journey I have become bolder with each painting and I am loving where the journey is taking me. Through art I let my creative juices flow. I have discovered the translucent use of water colour in nature, flowers and delicate animals and birds. The accuracy of gauge in children, objects and buildings plus the freedom of acrylic in large abstract paintings. I am sure the time has come to be even more daring and let my creative juices flow onto the paper. |
