Irma Denk
I was born in Velden/Vils Bavaria Germany in 1945. At the age of 9 my family migrated to Australia. I grew up at Leigh Creek in the far north of South Australia where I developed a love of this unique vast country. Drawing was always a pre-occupation and in the late 1970’s studied drawing, design and painting at the Stanley Street School of Art North Adelaide. Two teachers, namely Dr. Jolly Koh and Trevor Goulding had a profound influence on me. In 2002 and since my retirement, I began to paint in earnest. |
