Jackie Pomery
I spent many years working and teaching in the fashion industry. The creative nature of Fashion Design and Milinery has given me a good understanding of colour, line and form. This transfers beautifully into visual art. In 2007 I enrolled in a painting with acrylics course at Tafe SA. This sparked my obsession with painting. Motivated by the process of creating art I have dabbled with Watercolour, Goauche, Pastels and Charcoal. Painting landscapes, portraits and architectural portraits I like to experiment with different styles preferring expressionism over realism. I enjoy the freedom of moving from one medium to another. I find painting to be a mindful activity that promotes positive wellbeing and encourages personal growth. |
