Kathryn Carter
Kathryn is a contemporary visual artist living on the Fleurieu. She has always been creative and started painting ten years ago. During this time she has attended the Splashout Art School in Adelaide and various workshops including local community events such as Just Add Water programmes and Drawing on Country. She enjoys exploring different media and techniques and has exhibited successfully in local cafés and galleries and the Victor Harbor and Goolwa Rotary Art exhibitions as well as the Splashout Gallery at Brighton. She is constantly inspired by the beautiful Fleurieu environment and, as an ocean swimmer, she finds the sea a constant motivation. She also enjoys painting Australian native flowers and her love for painting scenes of France and Italy reflects her background as a language teacher. |
