Yvonne Twining
I was born in Adelaide and have been a practicing leather artisan since 1974. My skills have been acquired over many years including training with a European master shoemaker. I have frequently exhibited locally, interstate and overseas. I have been teaching leather skills since 1985 to local groups and many Textile Fibre Forums around Australia specializing in lastless shoe-making, soft bags and small accessories, always encouraging students to aim for the highest possible achievement. Leather is an extremely satisfying medium with which to work both visually and sensually. |
